The Best Holiday Destinations in August

By Robert M Freeman

August is the time when everyone looks to get away for breaks, and as a result almost all the places are crowded with visitors, which make it unfeasible to enjoy the summer holidays. This year, you take a route off the beaten track and beat the holiday crowds. The majority of the destinations described underneath are not an average tourist's destination, so you can make the best of your time by selecting to go to any one of these locations, and consequently soak up some culture and enjoy your time in calm and harmony.

The first place to visit is Bulgaria. This country is famous for its inexpensive holidays and low cost luxuries. Another popular destination is Pamporovo, which is known for its ski resorts in winter season, but in the summer transforms into an ecological tourist destination with its fresh mountain air and stunning mountain vistas.

Make sure you enjoy the culture and soak in the history by visiting Plovdiv, Tyrnovo, and Sofia (which is the country's capital city) on your visits along the way. These three cities will demonstrate you the greatest of the country's nightlife, shopping plazas, and entertainment. There are loads of historical locations that can be visited, along with the countless icons and manuscripts.

One more exceptional spot for this year's vacation is Hungary. This gorgeous country is often overlooked due to its low profile, but it offers lots of historical sites and saunas, which in turn depends on whether you want to go on a normal tourist trip or just make yourself relax during your holiday. The Szechenyi Thermal Bath is a enormous spot with its complex of ponds filled with hot water, saunas, open solaria, and baths.

Make certain that you visit Budapest, the Pearl of the Danube, which is one of the ten most gorgeous cities in Europe. Spend some time here looking at the rich architecture and loads of monuments the city is filled with. Go to the Buda Palace, the Fishing Bastion, and the Great Synagogue, or just hop on a city tour to make sure you don't overlook any of the numerous tourist spots in this city. The Budapest Museum has works of Rafael and Leonardo amongst numerous other masters. So, if you are an art aficionado, make your way to this destination as well.s

The final holiday spot is not off the much beaten trail, and will certainly be very crowded in August. No vacation guide will be complete without stating the beauty of Italy. Century after century, holiday-makers come from around the world to witness the beauty of this country and its many splendours. Whether you come here for the beaches, the shopping, food, or the architecture, it is very simple to fall in love with Italy.

Go to Rome and view the Coliseum, the Pantheon and the Vatican. The city is a proud one because of the many architectural works it possesses. Visit Verona if you are romantic by nature and wish to see the city that inspired Shakespeare to write his many masterpieces. Florence, the capital, is filled with museums, and a history lover will find himself at home here. If you are in the mood to look at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then head over to Pisa and see this wonder for yourself. Milan, the fashion capital of the world is next in line, and if you are interested in seeing the latest works of D&G or Armani, head down here to see them.

So, make sure that this summer you arrange a great getaway for yourself and your loved ones by arranging a holiday that you can keep in mind with fondness. Plan a holiday that preferably takes you to a less crowded location, but at the same time gives you with a lot of pleasure. - 15266
