Cove-Up Acne With Makeup

When you have acne, is it extremely embarrassing and whenever you go out of your house, you want to make sure your skin is covered up. When you have pimples you tend to avoid social situations and your self esteem begins to dwindle.

Most people use makeup to hide their acne and blemishes. Makeup can really hide even sever acne if applied correctly. Some people just smother their face with heavy makeup products. This not only looks bad but it also makes your skin condition worse.

The problem is even, with all that makeup, when your skin is inflamed, the bumps will still appear. When you have cysts on your face, you can't exactly pop them so the bumps can go down, you're just stuck with them. When your pimples begin to clear up, you still probably have some tissue that hasn't exactly healed itself yet and could cause scarring.

Concealers and foundation does a fantastic job of covering most mild acne and scarring. Laser treatment i without a doubt the best solution for acne. It's pretty expensive but worth every penny if it help give you back control of your life.

The skin is a very tough organ but some products have so many chemicals they can cause your skin some terrible damage. Be sure to use oil free and non-comedogenic products to be sure you wont be worsening your skin condition, while trying to hide it.

Having Oil-free and non-comedogenic properties are great selling points for skin products so they are easy to find. They allow your pores to breathe which in turn prevents clogging. Oily products clog your pores and really delay the healing process.

Makeup does not cause acne but using the wrong makeup can certainly promote it. True water based and oil free products will allow your skin to naturally cleanse itself and purge oils.

There is makeup available on the market today that is specifically for covering scars. It is usually really thick makeup, but is still non-comedogenic. You can find them at most cosmetic or department stores. Ordinary makeup may cover up your scars just as well, just try a few products out and see which on works best.

If you have really oily skin, you may want to try a powder or mineral foundation. Powder foundation will naturally blot the oil from your skin, giving your skin a more even tone.

If you have sensitive skin, look for products that state that it is specifically for sensitive skin. Some products have ingredients to control your acne as well.

Thankfully, skin is constantly renewing itself, and if your acne scars will also most likely improve with time. Some patience and skin care will get you there. If you are worried that nothing is working, you should consult with a dermatologist on treatments such as laser removal and chemical peels.
