Is your body really calling for that fast food?

By Matt Sison, C.Ht.

Many lifetimes ago, I was a Physical Fitness Trainer, and a good one at that! I held clients for an average of 2 years where the average fitness trainer would hold them for 2 months. I enjoyed the fitness world tremendously. Seeing the smile on client's faces light up when we helped them reached their goals was extremely rewarding. It's a very similar reward I get now as a Hypnotherapist.

I was able to smoothly transition my fitness training clients into Hypnosis clients. in fact, it was Hypnosis that would help me with the "tough" clients that were doing everything right as far as workouts and diet choices, but were not producing the results we wanted. So Hypnosis was a natural transition to add to the whole program

So I went ahead and became a certified hypnotherapist and used my new found skills on my "difficult" clients and zoom! It was exactly what we needed. I was pleasantly shocked to see how started to make everything easier. Now, many fitness trainers would have been very happy with the success I had but still, there was still that 2 or 3 clients that couldn't reach their goals.

In retrospect, I should have felt very content knowing I was helping the vast majority of my fitness clients attain thier goals and even helping those that could not get anywhere with previous fitness trainers. Eventually I opened up my hypnosis practice and my fitness clients having such a great relationship with me, voluntarily switched over to becoming my hypnosis clients. So off I was with a jumpstart into my hypnosis career.

But, the same thing still happened in the Hypnosis world with weight loss clients. There were a few clients here and there that would be doing everything right - including exercising and still not getting any closer to their goals! Again, even though I was doing great work with the majority of my clientele I felt terrible when I couldn't help those few that were stuck, despite doing everything "right."

Then it struck me like a lightening bolt. What if the food choices they were making were a result of not being in alignment with thier true body needs? Which brings me to Hypnosis and listening to that inner voice.

We are so inundated with this diet or that diet, even worse, this pill or that pill. But what if the body is rejecting these diet programs no matter how "good" or "scientific" they may seem? We've been so brainwashed with a plethora of eating plans that we've moved away from our instinctual information and entrusted our lives to "professionals" (sometimes ones that are overweight themselves), even though it may seem to go against our instinctual nature.

Whenever I work with someone, I encourage them to come back to basics. To come back to trusting thier bodies and thier instincts to let them know what is healthy for them. Specifically with those clients that did everything right but still could not reach thier goals. When they did finally start trusting thier body, the weight finally started to coming off for those clients that were having such a difficult time. This gave me that old feeling I had when I helped a fitness client get through to thier goals when everything else failed.

Now adays, having my clients listen to thier inner voice for guidance is what I center my weight loss program around. But, at times it is difficult to get clear enough to hear that voice, so we have to go through other forms of hypnosis to clear the "clutter." After they clear the "clutter" and listen to that inner voice, results have been consistent and astounding. More so, it fascinates me that after this process, they naturally go back to whole foods as the source of thier diets. This left them feeling more energetic and lively. After all, isn't what weight loss is really about?

So, remember, that voice of calm and peace. That voice can get you what you want if you just pay attention! - 15266
